About Lauren O'Brien Buckley, L.Ac 

Lauren O'Brien Buckley, L.Ac retains certification with the National Council and Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She holds state licensure in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Florida.

Lauren was born and raised outside of Philadelphia, PA, where her medically professional family influenced her interest in health care. After graduating from Archmere Academy in Wilmington, Delaware, she completed a B.S. in Community Health Education from the University of Arizona in 1997 and a four-year M.S. program in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California in 2002. Her postgraduate internship was at the Chengdu Univeristy of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Chengdu, China in 2003 where she focused on treating paralysis and OB/GYN health concerns.  

While in medical school, Lauren’s rounds included San Diego hospice, various homeless shelters, and Acu-Sport pain management clinic where she helped professional athletes.

In 2004 Lauren moved to Hong Kong and worked at IMI, a leading integrated medical clinic. After receiving training in Germany, she attended the Yoga Vidya Dham in Nasik, India to become a certified yoga instructor before returning to the United States in 2005. 

She operated Om Acupuncture Center focusing on treating infertility/IVF patients in collaboration with the New Leaders in Fertility and Endocrinology in Pensacola. In 2007 Lauren and her husband relocated to Philadelphia.

Learning about different traditional medicines, Lauren has traveled extensively throughout Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, China, Hong Kong, Tibet, India, and Nepal.
